Below you’ll discover quick answers to your questions regarding the policies and procedures upheld by The Oceanfront Litchfield Inn. In developing these policies, The Oceanfront Litchfield Inn considers the needs and comfort of all guests with hopes of making each stay in our rental properties a positive experience for everyone. We strive to provide the best in customer service and the vacation experience, and these policies help to ensure that you will enjoy every minute of your stay in beautiful Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Reservation / Check-in Policies:

  • An advance deposit equal to the first night’s stay plus taxes and fees will be charged to your credit card upon booking for all vacation guests.
  • Your reservation’s remaining balance is due at time of check-in.
  • Check-in is after 4:00 p.m.
  • Check-out is before 11:00 a.m.
  • All guests must be 21 years or older unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • We only accept major credit cards and debit cards. (Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Discover only). A valid photo ID is required at check-in. No personal checks will be accepted for payment.
  • WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH. The Oceanfront Litchfield Inn is a Cashless Property. Our front desk does NOT accept cash payments of any kind. Change is also not available from the front desk. Credit and Debit Cards are accepted and check in requires these forms of payment.
  • Reservations must be in US Funds. Reservations are not transferable.
  • Any credit or debit card used to make a payment or online reservation, must be presented at check-in with a matching valid photo ID. If the credit or debit card is not present, it will be refunded the amount it was charged, and a new credit or debit card will be needed to charge the balance.
  • Once registered, there are NO refunds for early departure.
  • We reserve the right to require a minimum number of nights stay in any unit at any time of the year.
  • Discounts are applied when reservations are made. No additional discounts apply.
  • Rates are subject to change.
  • Reservations are not final until property acceptance via email.
  • For guests using a debit card for security deposit, please note the hotel will place a temporary hold on the card. At check-out the hotel will release the hold; however, it depends upon the cardholder’s bank as to the timeliness of this release. Depending upon the bank, funds may be held from 3 to 14 business days after departure.

Additional Charges:

    • Children under 17: Free with accompanied adult (crib or rollaway bed: $10 per night + tax)
    • Resort Fee: $15.00 per night (+ tax)
    • 1 Bedroom Departure Housekeeping Fee: $135.00 (+tax)
    • 2 Bedroom Departure Housekeeping Fee: $150.00 (+tax)

  • Destination Fee: $1.00 per day (+ tax)
  • Your Trip is Covered with a $39.95 Damage Waiver Fee (+tax). All reservations automatically include this fee. It is a non-refundable charge that covers up to $1,000 in reported instances of accidental or non-negligent damages. In addition, guests are not required to put down a security deposit at time of arrival.
  • A $250 Security Deposit* is required at check-in (via credit card) and is refundable at check-out minus any incidental charges during the time of stay.
  • An optional *Worry Free Vacation Fee can be selected in place of the security deposit and added to your reservation in the amount of $39.95 (+tax) that covers up to $1,000 in non-negligent damage. This option is NON-Refundable.
    • The optional Worry Free Vacation Fee is not insurance but is an agreement that covers non-negligent or accidental damage. Non-negligent or accidental damage may include but is not limited to: scratches to the wall, accidental breakage of glassware, spills, minor stains, and accidental furniture breakage.
    • The optional Worry Free Vacation Fee does not cover intentional or neglectful damage to the unit. This may include but is not limited to damage caused by a party, damage caused by smoking or pets, theft or removal of unit inventory, or furniture breakage if determined negligent.
    • Guests’ personal property is not included under the terms of the Worry Free Vacation Fee.

Property Regulations:

  • Our beachfront Litchfield hotel is a 100% Smoke-FREE property. Absolutely NO SMOKING is allowed in guest rooms, on balconies, or common areas around the property. A $250.00 cleaning fee will apply if smoking occurs within a guest’s room.
  • PARKING is limited and we request only one car per unit if possible. We do NOT have parking for trailers, recreational vehicles, boats or oversized vehicles.
  • Assigned parking passes must be present in all vehicles either in front window dash or hanging from rearview mirror.
  • The resort does NOT ALLOW PETS. Service animals must be registered, and this does not include emotional support animals.
  • Daily Housekeeping Services – We provide light daily housekeeping service. Light service includes towel exchange, trash pick up and floor sweep. The Light service will be completed by the end of the day. Service may be declined upon check in.
  • Your Health and Safety is of utmost importance, therefore, if the “Do Not Disturb” sign remains on your door for an extended period of time and we are unable to contact you, we may knock on your door and if no answer, enter your room to determine your well-being. Please understand it is not our intention to disturb guests during their vacation, however, we reserve the right to enter rooms to check on the safety and security of our guests and property as well as to perform maintenance and repairs.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • The advance deposit is 100% refundable if a reservation is canceled up to 14 days prior to the ORIGINAL arrival date.
  • Reservations canceled within 14 days of the arrival date can reallocate the advance deposit funds toward future dates within one year of the original stay dates. Once the advance deposit funds have been reallocated to future stay dates, they are NON-REFUNDABLE. We strongly encourage you to purchase our Vacation Protection Plan at time of booking. Please note that changes to the reservation will be subject to availability and any room rate differences.
  • Guests who do not arrive on their scheduled arrival date and fail to notify the resort of a change to their stay dates, therefore acknowledge forfeiture of advance deposit funds.
  • Please refer to your reservation details or call the hotel with any cancellation-related questions.
  • Changes to reservations are considered cancellations and re-bookings.

We reserve the right to make changes, corrections, and/or improvements to our website and booking engine, and to the products and programs described in such information, at any time without notice, including after confirmation of a transaction.
