Verlon Thompson Music Fest
While staying at Litchfield Inn in Pawleys Island there are many great nearby attractions, entertainment, and dining. The Myrtle Beach area is known for having some of the best events in all of South Carolina. There is typically something to do and see every weekend no matter what time of the year it may be. If you will be in the area on November 17th, you will want to see the Verlon Thompson Music Feast. The event will be held at the Historic Myrtle Beach Train Depot from 7:00p.m-10:30pm. This event is organized by South by Southeast Music Feasts.
This event is American Music at its best. All ticket admissions will include a pot-luck dinner buffet, beverages, and more. In the past years Verlon has brought artists to the stage like JJ Cale, Leon Russell, and Guy Clark. The South by Southeast Music Feast is a non-profit organization that was brought together in 2003 in the Myrtle Beach area. It is a group that is for music lovers of the area and educators who want to promote American music that you wouldn’t hear in your typical venue. Right now the main mission of the organization is to help local artists with funding due to the budget cuts that have recently happened. All ticket purchases to the event will benefit the local communities. Whether it be in schools, churches, or more. By attending this event you are making a difference in someone’s musical path.
On November 17th, you will not want to miss this Verlon Thompson Music Fest event. It is a great night to bring out friends and family and celebrate. It is the time to celebrate what music is truly about and make a difference for the local community. It will be a memory that will not be forgotten about.
