Horseback Riding on the Beach Near Litchfield Inn

Horseback Riding on the Beach - Litchfield Inn

Have you always wanted to go horseback riding on the beach? Now you can! From November 1st through February 28th horseback riding on the beach is permitted in some areas around Myrtle Beach. Come stay with us at Litchfield Inn in Pawleys Island and take the family, or just that special someone on an unforgettable ride.

While there are many great year-round attractions in Pawleys Island and Myrtle Beach, horseback riding on the beach is limited to a specific time of year. When the beaches are no longer packed with summer tourists, there is finally time to climb up on that saddle and tour miles of white sandy beach. Don’t worry if you have little or no horseback riding experience. The highly trained equestrian guides around the area will show you everything you need to know. These horseback riding tour guides employ calm and experienced horses who are very friendly, even to the beginners.

If you are a horse owner and would like to ride your own horse on the beach, you can do so at Myrtle Beach State Park. Beach access here begins on the 3rd Saturday in November and lasts until February 28th. It will cost $25 per horse you bring into the park in addition to regular park admission. Your horses will not be permitted to remain in the park overnight. Each horse will also require their Negative Coggins papers as per the South Carolina Code of Laws, Act 13, 1976, Section 1, Chapter 13, Title 47.

Guests at Litchfield Inn always have great stories of horseback riding on the beach. Many come back year after year to enjoy our cozy oceanfront accommodations and a calming horseback ride along the sand. Come stay with us at the beautiful Litchfield Inn in Pawleys Island for a wonderful winter vacation at the beach.
